“A real woman can do it for herself but a real man won’t let her”
This quote seems to be causing offense. I’m not sure why, but I can understand how it can be misinterpreted. A blogger questioned equality and said if we turned the quote around it wouldn’t work. Here’s my explanation on why it would..
“A real man can do it himself, but a real woman won’t let him.”
In my opinion this is true. The quote CAN go both ways. It has nothing to do with depending on the opposite sex, but more on working together. For instance, if I’m in a relationship with an ambitious man who has a goal, do you honestly think I will sit back and tell him he can achieve his goal alone? No way! We are a couple, therefore I will use every resource I can to help him achieve his accomplishment. So if that means losing sleep, saving money, a number of sacrifices so be it.. after all we are a team. Because behind every good man is a strong women and vice versa. We work together.
